NYC Settles Police Shooting Lawsuit for $7 Million

Sean Bell was killed in a 50-bullet police shooting on the day of his wedding to Nicole Paultre in 2006

NEW YORK (July 28) -- The city of New York has agreed to pay more than $7 million to settle a civil lawsuit stemming from the fatal 50-bullet police shooting of an unarmed man on his wedding day.

The settlement filed in Brooklyn federal court on Tuesday pays $3.25 million to the estate of Sean Bell, who was killed in 2006 outside a strip club in Queens while leaving his bachelor party. As part of the settlement, the city agreed to pay $3 million to Joseph Guzman and $900,000 to Trent Benefield, both of whom were wounded in the shooting that killed their friend

Sports :Terrell Owens agrees to contract with Bengals

Wide receiver Terrell Owens agreed to a contract with the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday and will report to training camp in a couple of days, a person familiar with the situation told the Associated Press.

The Bengals were his first choice, giving him a chance to team with close friend Chad Ochocinco, who has already dubbed the pair Batman and Robin. The Bengals made an offer on Monday, and Owens accepted a day later.

Players are required to report for the start of training camp on Wednesday in Georgetown, Ky. Owens is expected to show up when workouts begin on Thursday, said the person speaking on condition of anonymity because the team had made no announcement.

On his Twitter account, all Owens would say was, "Hoping 2 b a Bengal w/in the 24hrs!!" He's expected to sign his deal when he arrives in Georgetown.

Already, it's like something out of a reality show.

Ochocinco gushed about the matchup on his Twitter feed, welcoming Owens and joking that "all of our games have been moved to pay-per-view, you got to pay to see this."

Cassie And Diddy Nude Pics ???

A New York City man claims he has photos of Diddy and Cassie in compromising positions and plans to sell the pictures, says MTV reality star Tila Tequila, who claims she saw the photos.

Tequila wrote on her blog: “Somebody out there is trying to leak some scandalous photos of Diddy, in some compromising positions with one of his artists, Cassie. Some dude on the street is trying to sell some pics, speculated to be about a year old. One of the pics shows Puffy sitting in what looks like a steam room or sauna, with a virtually naked Cassie sitting on his lap, both wearing no more than one towel… haha.

The unknown man has not revealed how he obtained these photos, but they consist of Diddy sitting in a sauna or steam room with nothing a but a towel on and Cassie on his lap. Another one is of Diddy and Cassie kissing, and the question is will the pictures ever see the light of day? You know Diddy has his legal team all over this and ready to pounce over the first sight of the flix.

Now speculation has been going on for years that the two have been involved, as many feel Diddy tends to get involved with whomever he can, whether they’re a part of his label or not. But now, speculation can stop here, because somebody out there is trying to sell some pics that can definitely prove Diddy and Cassie were at least at one point an item, or friends/co-workers with benefits.

T.I. Was In Hawaii Recording With Kanye…Not Getting Married

DJ drama recently said in an interview with Whoo Kid’s radio show that T.I. will be on Kanye’s new album ‘Good Ass Job’, and they were recording in Hawaii

. Funny how everyone thought that man was getting married this past weekend. Drama also talked about his future projects including Yo Gotti’s new mixtape Cocaine Muzik 4.5 which is due out next Tuesday.

NEW MUSIC Fabolous - Lights Out (I Don't See Nobody)

Fabolous is back with a heater! "Lights Out (I Don't See Nobody)" is one of two new tracks on Fab's upcoming There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP. The track was produced by Lex Luger, who produced two of the biggest street records out at the moment - Rick Ross' anthemic "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)" and Waka Flocka Flame's "Hard In The Paint". This track definitely has a similar vibe to those two tracks, with Fab spitting his trademark punchlines over the ominious beat (and Jay-Z sampling hook). 2011 Rolls Royce Ghost Mansory White Ghost Limited

Vehicle customizer Kourosh Mansory has decided to build a limited run of three cars based off the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Subtle modifications designed to increase the car's elegance and add a touch of sportiness were the tuner’s top priorities. The latter is achieved by altering the car’s engine electronics, which results in an impressive increase in overall engine performance.

Sophisticated elegance characterizes the White Ghost. As the name implies, the car is wrapped in a subtle white hue. The new front end features additional LED daytime running lights and vertical air outlets on the sides, directly beneath the stock cooling grills, are added for eye appeal. Mansory went to great lengths bring its new visual highlights into harmony from the side skirts, the side mirrors, the rear spoiler, and the rear apron with implied diffuser and dual sport-exhaust-system.

The sportiness implied by the new exterior stays true to what is under the Rolls-Royce Ghost’s long hood. The optimized engine electronics as well as the dual sports exhaust system push the Rolls-Royce's performance to 629 hp at 5,700 rpm. The engineers in the Bavarian city of Brand enhanced the maximum torque to a stout 634 lbs.-ft. of torque. This enables the engine to accelerate the 5,203-pound vehicle from zero-to-62 mph in only 4.5 seconds and therewith saves 0.4 seconds in comparison to the stock car. Thanks to the decommissioned speed governor, acceleration is no longer limited to 155, but rather to 180 mph.

The car’s wheel dimensions have also grown significantly. Mansory created a new design especially for the White Ghost Limited. The massive wheels with a diamond-polished surface measure an impressive 22 inches. The wheels at the front axle are equipped with 265/35 Dunlop SP SportMaxx high-performance tires, while the rear axle features 10.5 inch wheels with a tire size of 295/30.

In cohesion with the exquisite exterior upgrades, the interior is an oasis of luxury. Large parts of the interior are covered in high-grade leather with a cross-stitched pattern and enhanced by a headliner and dash board made of Alcantara. The sports steering wheel together with the light-colored bamboo inserts creates an unsurpassed exclusive atmosphere. Illumination for the entry ways and new LED modules for the seats, door panels, and dash board creates an ambient lighting effect that provides pleasant illumination throughout the entire interior.

The cost for the White Ghost Limited upgrade starts at 119,800 Euro (approximately $152,500) plus a Rolls-Royce Ghost and will be limited to a three-car run

Word on the street is there will be no Tiny in next seasons’ Tiny and Toya (July 20). According to online reports, Toya will be starring in her own spin off from the BET hit entitled “Toya’s Family Affair,” which will focus on her life, her daughter with Lil’ Wayne and her relationships. But , Tiny will make guest appearances.

Ah the down side of celebrity clothing lines. Publicity can’t last forever to keep the line intact, and so does the economy condition. Snoop Dogg is the latest celebrity who pulled the plug on his own clothing line: Rich & Infamous.

In an interview with Hollyscoop in March, 2009, Snoop stated that Rich & Infamous was going under financial troubles caused by the recession

Rich and Infamous was founded by Snoop Dogg in 2008 and was launched at the August Las Vegas Magic Tradeshow. The line was spotted many times on Snoop’s reality TV Show: “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood”. The clothing line included accessories, grooming products and home ware.

Snoop was last seen endorsing another clothing brand, Neff Clothing, before the official announcement of the end of Rich & Infamous..

Foxy Brown Arrested Again... SMH

Feisty femcee Foxy Brown is in trouble with the law again. According to reports, Brown was taken into custody Wednesday evening (July 21) for allegedly violating a protective order issued by her neighbor Arlene Raymond back in 2008. Brown's manager has denied the charges, but this certainly isn't the first time the rapper has been in trouble with the law.

According to the New York Post, Brown was released on $50,000 bail for this recent legal drama.

Lil Kim Returns to Rap Amid Controversy

While the female rapper may be totally non-existent in mainstream hip hop minus the single handed takeover by Young Money’s Nicki Minaj, that may soon change.

The Brooklyn female MC and original bad girl rapper, Lil Kim, has reportedly signed a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. While there have been no official announcements from either side, several sources have reported the news.

What is unclear is whether this is strictly a management deal or if she has signed on as an artist
