Inmate Confesses To Shooting Tupac In 1994

An inmate serving a life sentence says he shot rapper Tupac Shakur in New York in 1994. Dexter Isaac, who is behind bars for murder and robbery, said he was paid 25-hundred-dollars by hip-hop manager Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond to commit the crime. Isaac says he has come forward to prove that Rosemond was involved, and clear his own conscious. He says he also wanted to provide the families of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G. with “some closure.” Rosemond is currently wanted by federal authorities for his alleged involvement in cocaine distribution. In a statement to AllHipHop last month, Rosemond said he would never get a fair trial if the government relied on information from people like Isaac.

Tupac Shakur was shot in November of 1994 while at a recording studio in New York. The rapper blamed the crime on fellow hip-hop stars Sean “Diddy” Combs and the Notorious B.I.G. The accusations sparked the infamous East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry that some said led to the murders of both Tupac and B.I.G. To this day, no arrests have been made in either murder.
